The Latin Percussion LP1-5 is a flexatone by the renowned Latin Percussion company. It consists of a steel plate with a wooden beater, mounted to a frame. When you play it, you hold the frame and press down on the plate with your thumb. By shaking the Latin Percussion LP Flexatone, the beater will strike the steel, resulting in a characteristic metallic sound.

The LP Flex-A-Tone: ghostly percussion

You can adjust the instrument's key by varying the pressure you apply to the metal plate with your thumb. With a bit of practice, you can play any melody on this percussion instrument. Wat een leuk ding is zo'n Flex-a-tone. je moet er even mee oefenen, maar dan kun je er als percussionist sommige nummers me opleuken.
Een tip: op de foto kun je het niet zien, maar er zitten twee balletjes die het geluid produceren. Dus je kunt er ook snelle ritmes mee maken.
